I am a warrior
My name is Ashley
I fought the good fight
Every day of my life
I am a warrior
My name is Ashley
I gave every part of me
There was to give
My light is in all of you
I am a warrior
My name is Ashley
I’ve won every battle
I ever fought
Except this last one
That’s for you to win
On my behalf
I am a warrior
I am now you.

Ashley’s accomplishments in life live in the hearts of so many of you. She dedicated every waking moment to bring happiness, love and quality of life to anyone she crossed paths with. Co-workers, friends, strangers, you were all family to Our Ashley. Every gift she gave was a “just because”. Whether you needed furniture, dog sitting, being a DD at any hour, bringing you a coffee or making an entire meal out of disgusting almond cheese for her little sister just because she found out she was allergic and missed cheese. What made Ashley happy was knowing she put a smile in your heart for at least one moment on any day.

Ashley was known for many things to many people. When she loved, she loved completely and often showed that through her infectious hugs. She was intentional with her embrace and would never let me get away with anything less than
“Both Hands Mom”.

Through God, while on this earth Ashley helped many receive another day with their loved ones. It was a rare moment to have her pager go off and Ashley not be one of the firsts to respond. Ashley knew her heart the best of anyone and because of that she wanted to be there to ensure whoever was at the end of that call, that they were getting the absolute best chance to make it. Ashley continued her heroic efforts in her last days here on earth.
Ashley’s “Last Call” began October 17, 2017 at St Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. She saved many lives that day through the gift of organ donation. Because of this, many people will go on to have beautiful memories with their moms, dads, husbands, wives, sister, brothers, sons and daughters.

Ashley’s heart truly does live on.
