Life Story for Lillian Beatrice Wright

Lillian Beatrice Wright passed away on October 9th, 2012 in Twin Falls where She had resided since March 1, 2008. Lillian was likely Bellevue’s oldest native, having been born in Bellevue on November 16, 1919 to B.H. and Minnie Barker. She was the 10th child in a family of 13 and the last surviving member.
Lillian spent all of her adult years in Bellevue. She married Charles A. Wright on June 4, 1939 in Gooding, Idaho. They began their married lives in Bellevue and eventually had 4 children, the three oldest being born in the family home they built at the corner of 4th & Poplar. Those children were Shirley Ann Dennis, Robert Dale and Kenneth D.
Lillian was above all a loving Mother and Grand-Mother. Her life centered around her husband and family. She was a great cook and loved nothing more than seeing people sit down to one of her great holiday meals. Besides keeping her home open to all, her yard and flowers were of particular pride. While raising her family and for many years afterward she was an active community member and Bellevue school supporter. Countless hours were given to the Civic Club, March of Dimes Polio dinners, Labor Day barbecue activities, school functions from the PTA to athletic award dinners, her Church and other community events of old Bellevue. In later years, she enjoyed lunch and other events at the Senior Connection but most of all she loved her flowers and yard.
In 2007 she had two falls, the first while working in a flower bed, which necessitated her leaving her home and retiring to Twin Falls and an assisted living arrangement. Life went quite well for her until a third fall in the spring of this year necessitated another surgery. She simply wasn’t able to bounce back as she had two previous times.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis and wife Norma of Bellevue and Robert and wife Patricia of Wheaton, IL. In addition, seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Charles, daughter Shirley Ann and youngest son, Kenneth D. She will rest beside them in the Bellevue Cemetery, near her parents and several siblings.
Hospice Visions, 1770 Park View Dr., Twin Falls, ID 83301 or one’s favorite charity may be recognized in lieu of flowers.
Services will be held at 11:00a.m., Saturday October 13, 2012 at the Bellevue Community Church. Burial will follow at the Bellevue Cemetery.
