Tony Marshall Boyett

February 6, 1989 — June 1, 2025

Bellevue, Idaho

Tony Marshall Boyett, 36, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on June 1, 2025. Born and raised in the beautiful mountain town of Sun Valley, Idaho, Tony grew up in a place as vibrant and full of life as he was. He leaves behind a loving family — his parents Nick and Kim and his sister Lacey — along with a community of friends and neighbors who will miss him deeply.

Tony’s childhood was the kind most people dream about. He grew up with skis on his feet, a skateboard under his arm, and a fishing rod in hand. In his later years he became a fearless snowboarder, a snowmobile daredevil, and a lake-day regular who seemed to know every mountain trail and hidden fishing hole in the valley. Sun Valley wasn’t just his hometown; it was his playground, his inspiration, and his sanctuary.

Tony’s life was also full of cherished family traditions — none more beloved than the summer camping trips to Redfish Lake. Surrounded by cousins, close family friends, dogs, bmx bikes, and more laughter than could ever be contained around a single campfire, those trips became a cornerstone of his happiest memories. Whether he was boating across the glassy water, building a fire like a pro, or just cracking jokes on a folding chair with a cold drink in hand, Tony was in his element — sunburned, barefoot, and blissfully content in the Idaho wilderness with the people he loved most.

A master of many trades, Tony had a rare and humble genius for fixing just about anything. If it was broken, he could repair it. If it didn’t exist, he could build it. Carpentry, yard work, mechanical jobs, hauling, heavy lifting — he had the hands of a craftsman and the heart of someone who never said “no” to a friend in need. He was the kind of guy you could call at 8 a.m. or 11 p.m. — and people did — and he’d show up with a smile, tools in hand, and probably a dog riding shotgun.

Tony had a lifelong, sacred bond with animals, especially dogs. His best friend of 10 years was his legendary albino pit bull, Snoopy — who, with his soulful eyes and marshmallow coloring, was nearly as well-known around town as Tony himself. The two were inseparable, like two mischievous boys with four legs between them. When Snoopy passed, a piece of Tony went with him. But his second beloved dog, Luna — silly, loyal, and just as sweet — remains here, carrying his spirit forward with every goofy pit bull grin.

There were also quieter, unexpected sides to Tony. He was a thoughtful collector — of baseball cards, beautiful watches, rare coins, and fascinating things with stories behind them. He had a knack for finding treasure and a love for history that showed in every item he proudly shared.

And let’s not forget: Tony loved a good gamble — in cards, in life, and sometimes both at once. A spontaneous trip to Jackpot or Vegas was always on the table, and while the house didn’t always let him win, he never lost his enthusiasm (or his belief that the next hand was definitely going to turn things around).

Tony had endless potential. He could’ve built an empire — or at the very least a really cool cabin with hidden compartments and perfect woodwork. He could’ve traveled the world, raised children who inherited his heart and his humor, and opened a dog rescue on the side. And while he didn’t get enough time to accomplish these things, what he gave was unforgettable: a twinkle in his bright blue eyes, a smile that disarmed everyone, and a loyal presence that made you feel like family.

Rest easy, dear Tony. We hope you and Snoopy are chasing sticks in endless meadows, riding snowmobiles through the clouds, and watching over us all with that knowing grin. You were — and always will be — deeply loved. Rest in love. Rest in peace.

At a later date and time, a celebration of life will be held to honor Tony where all will be welcome.
