Life Story for
John Eugene Slimp
John Slimp entered this world as a proud Comanche Indian on December 5, 1949 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He passed away Saturday at his home in West Magic, Idaho. John was an avid fisherman and river rafter; he spent many years as a guide in Alaska. He enjoyed the outdoors, tying flies, appreciated a good argument and was always good for an opinion. John in his own way was cherished by all that knew him.
John is survived by sisters, Jeanette Barber and Jonah Woods, brother Billy Martin, nieces Jennifer Freeman and Jessica Hodges and nephew Jason Slimp. He was preceded in death by his mother, Iris Barber and brother Jimmie Slimp.
A Celebration of Life (Potluck) will be held for John at West Magic Resort on Saturday, December 12th at 1pm.
