Robin Marie (Fruehauf) Crotty was born on April 16, 1964, in Kenmore, New York, to Herbert and June Fruehauf. Robin is the second youngest of seven, Peggy, Pam, Yvonne, Herbert Jr., Justina and Jessica.
Robin worked at the Buffalo Marriott as a desk clerk where she met her husband, Mike. They were married on Sept. 12, 1986, after dating a little over a year. They moved to Florida only four days after their wedding. They lived throughout South Florida, with Robin becoming an employee of the Risk Management Office for Martin Memorial Hospital, the same hospital where her two boys, John and Josh, were born.
Following the birth of her children, they relocated to Sun Valley, Idaho, and built their home in Hailey the following year. Robin loved her community and spent many years working for the cities of Hailey, Sun Valley and Ketchum, ultimately becoming the city clerk for the city of Ketchum. She retired due to her declining health to spend the next three years battling melanoma cancer.
Robin loved working in her yard and taking long walks around Hailey. Her Catholic faith was very important to her, and she was an active member of the St. Charles Catholic Church. Mike would always say he could find her in a crowd by the sound of her joyful laugh.
Robin passed away on Dec. 10, 2023, with her husband and two sons at her side. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Charles Catholic Church in Hailey on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
