Life Story for
Fredric J. Rieger
Fredric J Rieger, 69, resident of Buhl, Idaho passed away from natural causes August 20 at the Lincoln County Care Center in Shoshone, Idaho.
Fred was born March 10, 1946 in Boise, Idaho. He was the 2nd child born to Fred and Lois Rieger of Boise. He attended Whitney Elementary, South Jr High and graduated from Borah High. During high school Fred was active in DeMolay. He had a great love for music and played the organ for services at the Cathedral of the Rockies for several years as well as All Saints Episcopal Church and several other churches in the area. Fred had a beautiful voice and he shared that voice at many area functions. He participated in several school music festivals and won several awards for his beautiful piano ability and singing voice. Fred enjoyed watching the performing arts and attended many plays over the years at Boise High School's Auditorium and the Morrison Center.
Fred had a kind heart and found his calling as a caregiver and helped people enjoy a better quality of life. He had a tremendous love for animals and gave many dogs and cats a happy home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Fred. He is survived by his sister, Lexie Anderson of Bellevue, Idaho, his brother Gordon (Leslie) of Boise and many special nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are planned for Saturday, August 29th at 3:00 p.m. at the Bellevue Cemetery. Reverend Tubbs of the Buhl Christian Church will be officiating. There will be a reception following the service at the Bellevue City Park. In lieu of flowers Fred would love for any donations to be made to the Buhl Christian Church or your local animal shelter.
