Ross Peck
Ross K Peck, 85, passed away Friday December 10, 2010 at the Twin Falls Care Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 7, 1925 in Carey, Idaho. He was the 6th of 9 children born to Justin R. & Anna Peck. He was raised in Fish Creek and graduated from Carey High School. He was a medic in the Army during World War II. He was a successful farmer & dairyman.
On January 20th 1948 he married his sweetheart Berdina Johnson in the Idaho Falls L. D. S. Temple. To This union were born 3 children, Scott, Robb & Candy.
Ross was a life long member of the L.D.S. Church and held many positions. He was lead rider in the Carey Riding Club, a Trustee of the Blaine County School District and a director in the Little Wood River Irrigation District.
In October 1978 his wife Berdina died and in 1984 his oldest son Scott, daughter-in-law Jan & baby daughter were killed in an auto accident.
In February 1979 Ross married Mabel Petterson in Carey. They continued to live there on the farm until 1984 when they retired to Twin Falls. After moving to Twin Falls, Ross took up oil painting and woodworking. He did beautiful work and was always a perfectionist in everything he did. He & Mabel enjoyed many years RVing, camping and fishing with friends & family.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Berdina in 1978, son Scott, daughter-in-law Jan, baby granddaughter in 1984, 2 sisters Maretta and Bernice and 2 brothers Leon and Max.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Mabel, and children, Robb (Kathi) of Carey, Candy of Ogden, UT, Larry Severson of Lewiston, ID, his 24 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, 5 step children, Brent (Cara) Petterson of Burley, Karen (Mike) Weatherwax of Twin Falls, Tink (Dyan) Petterson , Tim ( Becky) Petterson of Jerome, Dawn Makin of Buhl, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Alma, Louis (Judy) of Twin Falls, Ronald (Wanda) and 1 sister, Erma (Bob) Adamson of Carey.
