Nancy Jane Bunker

Aug 2, 1935 — May 4, 2026

Hailey, Idaho

Nancy Jane Bunker of Bellevue, Idaho passed peacefully in her sleep on May 4, 2026 at the age of 90.

She was born in Bombay, India on August 2, 1935 to Paul and Imogene (Ebaugh) Bunker.

Jane sailed around the world seven times before she was eight years old. She never stopped moving and kept her family guessing where her next adventure would be. In time she settled in Hailey, Idaho to be near family.

Jane was queen of her college and made close friends wherever she lived. She found joy in her work at living history museums where she brought the past to life. Her hands were always busy with knitting needles or a crochet hook, and she loved sewing and quilting. Throughout her life she was rarely without a horse, dog, or cat as a companion.

Strong and spirited, Jane was proud to be called “one heck of a gutsy lady.”

Jane is survived by her daughter Shari Kunz (Kyle) of Hailey, Idaho; son Jay Meyer (Rebecca) of Huntsville, Utah; daughter Jeannie Bradshaw (James) of Parker, Colorado; daughter-in-law Portia Vogt (Mike) of Jordan, Minnesota; step-daughter Julie Newcomb of San Jose, California; son Chris Newcomb (Sarah) of Garland, Texas; 17 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Paul Meyer Bunker.

The family will have a private celebration of life at the Hailey cemetery on Saturday, June 27.
