Life Story for Lucio Oreste Mitma Bellido

Lucio Oreste Mitma Bellido of Hailey, Idaho passed away on September 18, 2016 while seeking treatment in Lima Peru, having been diagnosed with cancer the prior week. His last wish was to see his mother before he passed. Lucio was 55 years old, born in Peru on Dec. 13, 1960. He was the youngest of thirteen children.

He immigrated to the United States in 1990. For the past 19 years he has served the Estate of Brad Corbett of S&B Technical Support; providing personal assistance, caretaking, and cooking. The Corbett family loved and respected Lucio as both a friend and steady hand. A few years ago, he started his own business, Mitma Landscaping LLC, which opened the door of opportunity for him to offer his many talents to other families and friends in the Wood River Valley.

Many of us enjoyed the stories Lucio shared of adventures throughout his life. He was very dedicated to his family. Family was very important to him. Lucio met the love of his life here in Hailey in the late 90’s. Lucio and Aleana were married on September 17, 1999 and spent the next 17 years side by side cherishing one another. He was a loving and supportive husband, stepfather and valued friend. He helped raise Aleana’s youngest children, Daniell and Michael, as well as his niece and nephew Carmen and Rodrigo, offering his guidance whenever needed. He was a strong influence with many of his nieces, nephews and friends.

Lucio’s passions were futbol and dancing. He also enjoyed listening to his music.

Lucio is survived by his wife Aleana, step children Misty ,Brandie, Daniell, Michael, Carmen and Rodrigo. His mother Aurelia Bellido, brothers Damaso, Julio, Alejandro, Daniel, and Jorge,and sisters Eufemia,Elisa, Julia, Virginia, Emilia, and Alejandrina, as well as many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Mitma and brother Andres Mitma.

The family would like to thank The Wood River Hospice for their help during this difficult time. In memory of Lucio, the family asks that donations be made to The Wood River Hospice, in lieu of flowers.
