It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marcia Brown on May 7. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and long-time member of the Wood River Valley community.
Marcia was born in July 1946 to Betty Wilson (Mary/Floyd) and Ted Werry (Dora/Slavey). She held a deep and enduring connection to her roots. She was a Hailey High School graduate and attended the University of Idaho.
Her adventurous spirit led her to be well-traveled, with time spent in Southern California before her return to the Wood River Valley. She played an integral part in operating the family business, Hank Brown Painting.
She is survived by her loving husband, Hank Brown; sons David, Josh (Natalie), and Andy; grandchildren Madeline, Tessa, Ethan, Jade and Clover; and by her sister Sheila.
Her family will forever cherish her memory as a great mom, who leaves behind a legacy of love and joy for her grandchildren. Her warmth, wisdom, humor, and boundless affection will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held July 2nd at 1:00pm at the Hailey Cemetery, 511 Maple St.
