Latoni “Toni” Eubanks was born in Manilla, AR, in 1951 and raised in Coloma, MI. Toni had a zest for life and was a beacon of love, generosity, unwavering strength, and gratitude. She ended her courageous battle with ALS on May 21st, fighting as long as she could with the same resilience that defined her life. A beautiful soul with a heart that embraced the world, Toni touched countless lives, and her spirit will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
Toni’s dedication and hard work were evident throughout her long and successful career in health care. She began her journey at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, where she spent nearly a decade making a difference in the lives of patients and colleagues alike. Eventually, she returned to the Midwest (Ann Arbor, MI) to start a family and continued her career at the University of Michigan Hospital, where she devoted 17 years to excellence in patient care. Her expertise led her to work as a consultant for Johnson & Johnson and Owens & Minor before taking on the role of Manager of Sterile Processing at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. After 12 years of leadership and service,Toni retired, leaving behind many wonderful colleagues, and a legacy of dedication, knowledge, and compassion.
Beyond her remarkable career, Toni found great joy in life’s adventures and cherished moments with friends and loved ones. She had a deep passion for music, photography, and traveling abroad, with France and Cabo holding special places in her heart. However, nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time and making memories with her beloved granddaughters.
Toni is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Noffke) Broderick, son-in-law, Rhett , and granddaughters, Naomi and Harper, who brought her endless joy and pride. She is also survived by her stepfather, Victor Adams, and her siblings—James, Dave, Beverly, Cliff, and Brian. Toni was preceded in death by her father, James Eubanks, and her mother, Naomi Adams.
To honor Toni’s life and her wishes, her family will be traveling to France to scatter her ashes. This final journey will allow Toni to visit her favorite city once more, a place that brought her so much joy. As she often said, “It’s always a good time for Paris”. Her adventurous spirit and love for travel will live on through this tribute, ensuring that she rests in a place that meant so much to her.
Toni was a loving, hardworking, giving, and independent woman who was passionate about the world becoming a kinder, more caring place. She was an incredible advocate for her girls, instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and standing up for yourself and your beliefs. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring her legacy with a donation to Doctors Without Borders, a cause in which she deeply believed. Although she is no longer physically with us, her love and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her. Rest in Peace, Toni.
