Life Story for
Fred Kohler
Frederick Alan Kohler, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many, was taken from this earth on March 5th, 2016. He was 50 years of age. He was born May 6, 1965 to George and Darlene Kohler and completed school in 1982. Fred started his own business, Kohler Drywall, and served the Wood River Valley for 16 years. As the owner and operator, his work was of the highest quality. He was an avid sports enthusiast and was a member of the Sawtooth Snowmobile Club in Wood River Valley.
In 2013, Fred moved to Montana. While there he greatly enjoyed his son, Dave Kohler, his daughter-in-law, Christina Kohler, and his two grandsons Boaz and Elijah. Fred was a very giving person, eager to help others when they needed it. He will be greatly missed.
Fred is survived by his son Dave (Christina) Kohler and grandsons Boaz and Elijah; brothers Monte (Patty) Brothwell and Leslie Kohler and sister Verlene Kohler, all of Wood River Valley. He also left behind Tina Anderson Kohler (first love and former wife) and her children Serena, Eric, and Deavin and step-grandsons Jaoquin and Eli.
He was preceded in death by his mother Darlene (Barkdull) Kohler, his father George Kohler, and his oldest brother, Jimmy Brothwell.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. , Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Bellevue Cemetery.
