Kenny Heuring
Kenneth James Heuring, 65, of Triumph, died Thursday, July 18, 2019, peacefully in his home and surrounded by his family. He was a father, a brother, an uncle, and to some, a superhero.
Born March 23, 1954 Long Beach, CA, Kenny graduated from Millikan High School before setting out on a life of adventure. After a few years of hippie life in California, Kenny moved to Idaho in 1978. He was a gifted mechanic; dedicated audiophile and Frank Zappa fan; avid hiker, skier and Baja bug racer; and finally a trailblazing and award winning mountain and high desert enduro motorcyclist and founding member of the Tree Huggers Motorcycle Club. He is a former EMT and member of the Ketchum Volunteer Fire Department. He owned Beyond Repair, a small engine repair shop in Ketchum. He was a jack of all trades, always willing to help out or fix things, and was an absolute encyclopedia, knowledgeable in myriad subjects, and a joy to be around.
Kenny will be remembered for his easy smile and laugh, and for his hard work and generosity. He will be missed dearly and always.
Kenny is survived by sons Colin von Heuring and Dylan Heuring as well as sisters Karen Olszewski, Kathleen Freepartner and Dawn Wendland, nieces and nephews Randy, Valerie Dana, Dustan, and DeAnna, stepsisters Kathy Gause and Maureen Linden, and sons’ mothers Robyn Blakely and Juliet Amy.
He was preceded by parents Clinton Heuring and Joyce Quenelle, and stepmother Jean.
Motorcycle procession and celebration of life to be held Saturday, August 10. Sign-up for a memorial off-road ride at the celebration. His family are requesting stories about Kenny in written, audio, or video form. Details available from kennyheuring@gmail.com and at www.woodriverchapel.com
