Katherine Jones

Kathy Jones passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 17. She was well loved in her community, and known for her caring nature and generosity of spirit. She was a long time resident of the Wood River Valley, where she raised her two sons, Rob and Brandon. Though she had two children of her own, she was also a mother to many more during her nearly three decades of child care service. She loved children, animals and nature, and devoted much time to learning the art of photography so that she could capture the special moments she shared with all three.
Kathy was born July 19, 1948 at Twin Falls County Hospital, grew up in Kimberly, Idaho, and moved to Bellevue in 1971 with her small family. She had a truly unique approach to life that was both whimsical and creative. She would most like to be remembered for her sense of humor and nurturing nature. She is survived by her sons, Rob and Brandon Jones, and her mother, Norma Schmid. She is also survived by the dozens of children she cared for over the years, and their families.
