Gerardo “Jerry” Garcia Izarraras, 35, of Hailey, Idaho, passed away unexpectedly on November 23, 2025, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him.
Jerry was born on April 1, 1990, in Coeneo, Michoacán, Mexico, to Maria De Los Angeles Izarraras Perez and Jose Gerardo Garcia Guillen. He graduated from Wood River High School in 2008 and attended the College of Southern Idaho. Jerry dedicated his life to helping his family, friends, and anyone in the community who needed support.
He was cherished by everyone—from his customers at Starbucks, where he worked for over ten years, to those he met through Mountain Rides and countless other jobs. Wherever Jerry went, people were drawn to his unique and fierce love. He was always ready with a hug, a smile, or a bite to eat, and his generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Jerry is survived by his husband and partner, Austin; their daughter Isabella; their beloved dogs Quila and Fernando; parrot George; goat Rizza; and other pets at home. He is also survived by his parents, Angelina Izarraras and Gerardo Garcia, and his siblings:
