Garth Darnell Heath, 65, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the Hayspur Campgrounds near Picabo, Idaho.
He was born Sept.23,1959 at Blackfoot, ID, the son of Fred and Lola (Anderson) Heath. He grew up and spent most of his younger years in and around Glenns Ferry and King Hill, Idaho. This is where he met and married his first wife Liz. Two daughters, Mary and Jenny, were born to them.
Later he would meet his wife Shirley and they spent many years together. After retiring, they sold their property and together they visited places they loved, wintering in Arizona and returning to Idaho until the Lord called him home.
Garth had many talents in multiple fields of employment from ranching, farming, construction and so many more. Guess you could say he was a jack of all trades. But no matter the job, he always gave 100%.
Garth enjoyed anything outdoors, whether it be fishing, camping, hunting with his family or just taking the side-by-side for a drive. He had a love for the beauty of the mountains and trees. One of his favorite places to visit was South Dakota with its old mining and ghost towns.
Garth leaves behind his wife Shirley, his daughter Mary Rovig (Glen Knight) and grandchildren Hattie and Joe; daughter Jenny Kincaid (Brandon) and grandchildren Maude, Aspen and Emily; his son Mike Griffith (Jill) and grandson Josh; his sister Leola Vega (Julio) and their children Shea, Frances, James, Sarah, Jennifer; his sister Cindy Heath (Bud) and children Della, Crista, Alisa; brother Nels Heath (Debbie) and children Christal, Denny; brother James Heath and children Jamie, Jason; sister Abbie Heath and daughter Lola.
Going before him were his parents Fred and Lola Anderson Fink, father Wes Fink, sister Mary Elizabeth, and grandson Anthony Silva.
Garth as we say goodbye to you all too soon, just know you will be ever so missed. We have all been so blessed to have what time we have had with you, and will ever cherish the memories every day until we meet again,
Garth's wishes were to have his ashes taken to South Dakota for his final resting place.
