Life Story for
Jean Ann Dickenson
We lost a dear woman, friend and member of our community Thursday, March 10, 2016. Jean Ann Dickenson died peacefully at St Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise after a month long battle from complications after a fall. She was born on February 6, 1946 in London, England.
She moved to the United States in the late 60's and first worked in New York City. Sometime later she moved to Sun Valley, Idaho. She held many positions in the community and was proud of her clerical abilities. She was an active member in the recovery community and put in many years of service to the community. Her first love was her dogs, and caring for other's dogs.
After she had open heart surgery and suffered two strokes, she slowed down some. However, she became very active in the Light on the Mountain Spiritual Center. She had a passion for learning and self improvement. She took classes at Light on the Mountain and earned a certificate as a Prayer Practitioner. She became a Healing Touch volunteer and was of service at St Luke's Wood River and Light on the Mountain sharing her gifts.
When I first met Jean years ago she was a bit "prickly." She was intelligent, quick witted and occasionally sharp tongued. I watch her soften over the years into a beautiful loving, spirit, never losing her British sense of humor
A friend said of Jean that years ago she was a bit "prickly", but intelligent, quick witted and occasionally sharp tongued. I watch her soften over the years into a beautiful loving, spirit, never losing her British sense of humor.
