Curtis Barker, a wonderful husband, son, stepdad, brother, grandpa, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, on Monday, December 2, 2019, from Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Curt loved his family and friends dearly. He was a man of many talents. Curt was a great story-teller and could make everyone laugh. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his friends and family. He was best known as the singing bartender and he was a beautiful woodworker. He will be missed terribly. The world has truly lost one of the "Good Ones."
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Vicki Barker; his beloved mother, Faye Barker; sisters, Crystal Helder (Dirk) and Cindy Karst (Dan); stepson, Bryson Womack (Jaimelyn); granddaughters, Torah and Aspen Womack; nieces, Ashley Klauser(Keifer), Desy and Kaitlyn Helder; nephews, Devin Karst and Kaden Helder; great-nephew Klayton Klauser; Best friends, Chris Holloway, Keith Kreczkowski (Sandy) and Backup singer Dena Deckard. In death Curtis is preceded by his father, Pat Barker.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday December 13, 2019, at Wood River Chapel, 403 North Main Street, Hailey. A celebration of life will be held for Curtis from 1-4 p.m., Saturday December 14, 2019, at The Red Shoe Bar & Grill, 107 South Main Street, Hailey, Idaho.
