Wallace Church

Hailey, Idaho — Wallace H. Church died January 8, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Wally was born to Afton Heaps and Champ H. Church in Panguitch, Utah. He graduated from College of Southern Utah in Cedar City, Utah where he met his wife of 42 years, Judy Church. After college he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Georgia for the duration of his Army life.

He then moved to Vernal, Utah for the next 27 years of his life where he raised his three children and sold insurance as a partner in Sentry West Insurance Services.

He moved to the Wood River Valley in 1994 where he worked as a caretaker, sold art for Zantman Galleries and helped raise his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Judy Church, his three children, Marlo Church, Brandi Jameson, Champ (Melissa) Church and his nine grandchildren.

As an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, mentor, and friend, he will be truly missed by all.

Friends may call at Wood River Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011. A Celebration of Life will be later in the spring.
