Christye Negreponte, 55, of Bellevue, Idaho passed away on March 2, 2026. Born July 10th, 1970, in Yonkers, Christye lived a life marked by kindness, quiet strength and an appreciation for the people and places that shaped her journey.

Christye made her home in Bellevue and was a cherished part of the community in Idaho’s Wood River Valley. Christye always showed people a lot of kindness, connecting with others. Chryste’s life in Bellevue unfolded in the shadow of the Sawtooth foothills, among neighbors who value familiarity, resilience and the quiet rhythms of Idaho’s high desert. Her presence contributed to the sense of continuity that defines Blaine County- a place where community is built, not only through public recognition, but through the steady presence of those who call it home.

She is survived by her husband David Lenon, her cousin Chrisian Offen, and her beloved dogs, Odye and Scrappy. Preceded in death by her loving family. mother, Cathy Christye Negroponte Zaccardi (Jeff), uncle Charles and aunt Marianthe, children of Christopher [Papa] and Basila Negreponte; as well as, her great aunt Mary and uncle Paul. Her family and friends will remember her for her free spirit, generosity and the dignity with which she lived her life.

A celebration of life is being planned, and details will be shared when available. We look forwards to gathering with all who wish to honor her. We invite people to come and share memories to honor her legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Mountain Humane, reflecting Christye’s lifelong values. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
