Life Story for Larry Keith Boyd

Larry Keith Boyd, of Fairfield, ID died at St. Lukes Hospital, in Boise, ID surrounded by his family on April 29, 2018. He was 72 years old.

Larry is survived by his children: Kaneitha Boyd of Garden City, ID, Jonie McCrory of Eagle, ID, Kellie Thompson of Bellevue, ID and Adam Boyd of Hailey, ID; his nine grandchildren; his mother, Esther Boyd of Bellevue, ID; his brother Dick Boyd of Kimberly, ID; his sister Peggi Mikel of Bellevue, ID; his sister Teri Neidrich of Bellevue, ID; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Boyd; his father, Johnie Boyd of Hailey, ID; his sister Lynda Barbee of Bellevue, ID.

Larry was born on December 7, 1945 in Twin Falls, ID to Johnie Morse Boyd and Esther Irene Peterson Boyd. He graduated from Twin Falls High School. Soon after he moved to Seattle, WA, where he studied Drafting. While there he was in a serious car accident, from which he made a full recovery. He met and married Scharmaine “Schar” Hall in 1972 in Auburn, WA; They had 4 children. Larry started his own construction company while living in Washington and built several custom homes in the Seattle area, including the home he built on Lake Tapps in Sumner, WA where he and his family lived. He loved restoring classic cars; his favorite was the red 1960 corvette. He loved music and had quite the music collection. He also liked to go exploring, whether it was an old ghost town or just seeing where an old trail led. He enjoyed making people laugh and would play practical jokes on family members and friends. In 1989, Larry and his family moved to Bellevue, ID, where his mother and sisters lived. In 1993, he and Schar divorced. In the ‘90s he married Wendy St. Jean; they later divorced. In 2010, Larry married Linda Hall in Twin Falls, ID. They lived in Emmett and later Fairfield, ID, where Larry ran a cattle ranch.

Larry passed away after a short illness. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his optimistic view on life, and his love for music and family.
