Life Story for Larry Lee Bosley

Goodbye to our family patriarch.

Larry Lee Bosley passed away July 11 at his Sun Valley Home. His wife Sandy, son Bradford, brothers Steve and Craig, and other family members were by his side. He was 84.

Larry was born in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1931, graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska with his B.S and M.D. degrees. Being the patriot he was, he volunteered for the U.S Army where he was a Captain in the Army Medical Corps while serving in Germany. Once his duties to our country were served, he then came to the West Coast and began a private dermatology practice in the San Francisco area. He also took the time to get his pilot’s license, loved to ski, play tennis and enjoyed traveling the world.

Luckily for hundreds of thousands of patients, Beverly Hills, California was his next calling. In 1974 he started his own practice focusing on one thing, hair restoration for men and women and created the Bosley Medical Group.

From a small office in Beverly Hills, he evolved not only his business, but an entire industry on the strength of his drive for excellence. He did not just create the most experienced and well known hair transplantation practice, he created the largest organized cosmetic surgery group in the world. With that came breakthroughs in hair restoration technology, artistry and patient results.

Our family, friends, and employees will miss his love and generosity, his ability to challenge and inspire, and for those lucky enough to know it, the soft heart inside of him.

Thank you for all the Bosley family adventures you gave us and may you now, truly, rest in peace.
