Life Story for
Charlene Margit "Linnie" Blomquist
Charlene "Linnie" Blomquist passed away at St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center in Ketchum, Idaho on January 11, 2015.
Linnie, born Charlene Margit Cutler, to Martin Cutler and Margit Cutler (Holmstrom, now Church), and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, attended Churchill Jr. High and Cottonwood High School. She had the opportunity to travel and live in Germany and Norway with relatives before she married David Blomquist, the love of her life, on November 5, 1977. Together they had three children, Danae, Hailee and Martin. They moved to the Wood River Valley in 1980, where all members of the immediate family currently reside.
Family and friends were the most important thing to Linnie, and she made great effort to maintain those special relationships, in spite of her many health battles, both physical and emotional. She was the first person to be there for a friend or family member in need, and will be greatly missed by those whose hearts she touched.
Linnie leaves behind many cherished friends. She is survived by her husband Dave Blomquist; daughter Danae (Josh Commons), daughter Hailee (Jeff Mintz), son Marty Blomquist, and grandchildren Cash Mintz, Otto and Berkeley Commons; Mother, Margit (Champ Church); sisters Anna Hohnbaum and family, Ellen Docken and family; brother Guy Holmstrom and family, as well as many other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2pm at The American Legion Hall in Ketchum, Idaho.
