Lynda Kay Barbee (Boyd)
Hailey, Idaho - Lynda Kay Barbee, 51 of Bellevue, our sweet loving, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister departed this world late Friday night. She was surrounded by family as she was released from her ailments to experience eternal heavenly peace.
She was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on July 31st , 1959 to Johnny and Esther Boyd. She was the youngest of their five children. She was everyone’s little darling, full of life and energy. When Lynda was eight she moved with her family to Auburn, Washington. It was in Washington where Lynda thrived as a child of her generation. She was a music enthusiast, always watching bands perform live in Seattle. It was also in Washington where Lynda had her first child, Angie Kay Castle. Lynda moved to Hailey, Idaho with her daughter to experience the rural comforts of her home state.
Lynda managed the front desk at Elkhorn Resort, while raising her daughter. It was during this time that Lynda met Carl Barbee. They married in October of 1985. They had two sons, Michael Anthony Barbee and Jason Carl Barbee. Raising children became a priority for Lynda. She took great pride in her roll as a stay at home mother. Her nurturing expanded when she welcomed two grandchildren into the world, Calub Carl Castle and Cierra Carlyn Castle.
Always a generous spirit, Lynda’s happiness blossomed when contributing to the well being of others. Lynda’s passions were first and foremost her love for the Lord, family gatherings, bowling, sports cars, boating, horses and collecting angels. She was a loving and tender family member and friend to many. She was proceeded in death by her father. She leaves behind her mother, Esther Boyd, her daughter and son-in-law Angie and Philip Castle, her sons Michael and Jason Barbee, grandchildren Calub and Cierra Castle, and her siblings, Richard Boyd, Peggi Mikel, Larry Boyd, and Teri Niedrich.
Funeral service to be held at The Calvary Bible Church, 102 Coyote Bluff Drive, Hailey on Friday, November 5th at 3 p.m, with viewing on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 2nd and 3rd from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
